This 105 hour program prepares the student to work as a nursing assistant in an extended care facility, hospital or home health organization. Upon successful completion of NUA 101 and NUA 170, the student is eligible to take the Colorado State Board of Nursing Certification Exam. The cost for the State Board Exam is approximately $95.
NUA 101 Nursing Assistant Theory provides the student with 75 hours of class time devoted to theory/lab and NUA 170 provides the student with 30 hours of clinical practice. Enrollment in NUA 170 is contingent upon successful progress in NUA 101.
TUITION & FEES: $513.00 (Non-resident tuition is two times that for Colorado residents) Program Fees: $75.00 Clinical Fees: $35.00 (This does not including additional expenses & supplies, see below)
v Reimbursement Notification Pursuant to section 483.152(c) of the Federal Rules and Regulations related to Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Programs (NATCEP), a long-term care facility (“facility) that receives Medicare or Medicaid funds: Must reimburse a nurse aide who pays for a NATCEP and becomes employed by the facility within 12 months of date of certification, prorated for the portion of the 12-month period that the individual was employed by the facility

(All Prices are subject to change) Classes will meet from January 6th to March 3rd, 2010. NUA 101 Classes will meet Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. NUA 170 Clinical Schedule for January classes will be on 2/20, 2/27 & 3/6/10. (No classes Monday, January 18th or Monday, Feb. 15th) OR Classes will meet from March 17th to May 19th, 2010. NUA 101 Classes will meet Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. NUA 170 Clinical Schedule for March classes will be on 5/1, 5/8 & 5/15/10. (No Classes the week of 3/29/10 – 4/2/10)
Early Registration is recommended. Registration for these classes opens on November 9th, 2009 Registration hours are 7:00am to 4:00pm.
