High School Application Process

1. Contact High School Counselor: All high school students apply by filling out a Pickens Technical College application with their home high school counselor. Your counselor will then submit your application through your district process and then to Pickens Tech for consideration.Attn APS Students: Check with your High School Counselor to set up an appointment with a Pickens Counselor when they visit your school.
2. Complete Post-Secondary Options Agreement: Only students outside of Aurora Public Schools should complete this step. Both student and parent must read and sign the Post-Secondary Options Act Agreement. Give the completed form to your high school counselor to sign and submit to Pickens Technical College.
3. Attend Open House: It is strongly recommended that you attend one of the scheduled Open Houses at Pickens Technical College and obtain program information to ensure you choose the right program to match your interests.
4. Confirm Enrollment: Check with your home high school schedule and/or meet with your counselor to confirm your enrollment and Pickens Technical College start date.
